What we collect, and why
When you use the enquiry form on this site we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and whatever you write in your message. We use it for one thing: replying to your enquiry about the club. We don't use it for marketing, and we don't share it with anyone outside the club committee.
Who can see it
Form submissions are delivered to the club's email (brownsbayfishing@gmail.com) and are visible to the committee members who handle membership. Submissions also pass through our website host's form service, which processes them on our behalf.
Competition results and photos
Competition results published on this site name the angler and the length of the fish. Junior members are published by first name and last initial only. Photos of members are published with consent - and photos of juniors only with written consent from a parent or guardian. If you'd like a result or photo of you (or your child) removed or changed, email us and we'll sort it.
Analytics and cookies
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. If we ever add visitor statistics we'll use a privacy-respecting tool that counts visits without following you around the web, and we'll say so here first.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email brownsbayfishing@gmail.com and we'll respond as quickly as a volunteer committee reasonably can.
